In Kazan in the conference-hall of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, a specialized training seminar for the exhibitor companies of the 9th Kazan Venture Fair was conducted

In the conference hall of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan within the frames of preparation to the 9th Kazan Venture Fair, a training seminar on the subject of "Introduction in venture business" took place on March 6, 2014. The organizers of the seminar were Investment Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Venture Capital Association.
The audience of the seminar was constituted of the technological innovative companies’ owners and top managers who submitted applications for participation in Fair and have successfully overcome an expert selection. The qualified experts from St. Petersburg and Moscow were invited to work as lecturers and tutors at the seminar.
Within the lecture trainings, a considerable volume of the material opening both specifics of venture business, and the current state of the domestic venture capital market was presented to listeners of the seminar. The practical part of the seminar was devoted to specific questions of preparation of presentation materials of the companies for potential investors, thus the attention of listeners was focused on careful study of those key aspects of presentation to which a potential investor attaches special significance. This is both understanding of real and, that is even more important, future "role" of the company in the market, and existence of an efficient team, and issues of intellectual property protection, and accurately formulated business model, and many other things.
As a result, listeners received the step-by-step instruction on preparation for work at the Fair, following which would allow the companies to establish the "correct" and effective dialogue with potential investors.
"Coaching of the companies is extremely necessary before such important event as the Kazan Venture Fair is, – the Director of the Russian Venture Fair Igor Gladkikh noted, – it is interesting to venture investors to invest money only in constantly developing companies that testifies to high competition in the private equity and venture capital market. For achievement of success it will be necessary for management of the companies presented at the Fair’s Exposition not only to speak with investors "in the same language”, but also to be aimed at creation of mutually beneficial relations. Therefore, our task is to select companies more carefully and then to prepare them for business presentation directly at the exposition, and all of these long before the official opening of the event".
At the end of March a practical seminar (coaching), where the representatives of organizers and partners of the Fair will hold individual consultations with management of each exhibitor company, is planned. For now, there is going preparation work in the companies on investment offers and oral and stand presentations for presenting projects at the Fair.
